Food, Faith, Fitness… and a FREE BOOK!

‘Tis the season for starting fresh! I will eat better! Exercise more! Read my Bible EVERY! DAY! (Who’s with me!?)

Aaaaaand, true confession: ‘Tis ALSO the season for a roller coaster ride of preoccupation with body image, crazy diets, and perfectionism. (Sigh.)

Well, friends, if you’re riding the same coaster as me, I have a timely treasure for you: Devotions for a Healthier You {Feeding Mind, Body, and Soul}, by Katie Farrell.

You guys. Katie’s devotional is beautiful. It’s heartfelt. It’s so approachable, and it’s SO NEEDED.

Katie is the creator of DashingDish.com (a hugely popular blog where she lives out her passion of teaching women to find their identity in Christ and ending misconceptions about healthy eating). The devotions in her book are inspired from her personal journal entries and range in topics from body image to understanding and receiving God’s love for us.

She’s a recipe developer. She’s a registered nurse. She has been through every form of disordered eating you can imagine. She loves Jesus. And she’s found freedom.

Basically, the girl knows what she’s talking about – and shares it generously in this devotional.

The book drew me in with its beautiful photography (who doesn’t love a pretty book?).  But it kept me coming back for more once I began reading. I truly felt like I was digging into scripture with a friend over coffee. I’ve never met Katie personally, but I kind of feel like she “gets me.”

The devotions are so engaging, the fact that there are healthy recipes & a meal plan included is like a crazy jackpot prize on top of it all.

As I seek to live healthier this year, I’m grateful for this resource to help anchor me from all directions – mind, body, and soul.

Actually, I think it’s so great that I’m giving away a free copy to one of you!
