It’s grilling season, y’all. That means burgers, burgers, burgers around here. I’ve been trying to ditch the carbolicious bun at least occasionally – but for me, that requires some amazing toppings. This weekend, I ate inhaled my favorite combo yet:
Goat Cheese + Balsamic Burger
1 lb. ground beef
1 tomato
1 small package goat cheese
4 Tb balsamic vinegar
S & P to taste
- Season ground beef with S & P to your liking. Form into 4 patties and grill ’em up.
- Remove from grill and place a slice of fresh tomato on each burger.
- Crumble some glorious goat cheese on top.
- Finish with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
For the record, it was so good I easily passed up the bun and ate mine with a knife and fork. Like a boss.
(Please do not tell me the bun would’ve been healthier than the goat cheese. I don’t believe you. I also don’t care.)
I recommend serving these up with a side of roasted veggies for a knockout summer meal. (Stay tuned next week for my roasted broccoli recipe!)
Your turn! What’s your favorite burger creation?
